In Andhra Pradesh, the Rice Cardis issued to eligible poor families to receive subsidized rice and welfare benefits under Public Distribution System (PDS) and other state schemes.
- What is a Rice Card?
A Rice Card is a welfare identification document issued by the Civil Supplies Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh. It helps eligible families to:

- Who Are Eligible for New Rice Card?
A family must satisfy income and property conditions.
Income Criteria (Rural & Urban)
- Rural Areas: Family monthly income should be below ₹10,000
- Urban Areas: Family monthly income should be below ₹12,000
Property Criteria
The family should NOT have:
- More than 2.5 acres wet land
- More than 5 acres dry land
- Income Tax payer in family
- Government employee (except sanitation workers, low wage staff)
- Four-wheeler vehicle (except auto, taxi, tractor)
- High electricity consumption (usually above 300 units/month)
- Commercial property with high rental income
Other Conditions
- Must be permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh

Application can be submitted at:
- Village/Ward Secretariat (Grama/Ward Sachivalayam)
